On our site, you can sign up as either a Client or a Namer.
The basics of our website is that a client signs up and pays $80.00. A namer signs up for free. When the client picks a name idea for their business/product, we send the namer of the invented name $50 up to $75 depending on the promotional status of the namer.
The technical term for outsourcing a project to the public is called crowdsourcing. A million heads is better than one. Crowdsourcing allows an otherwise expensive project to become inexpensive and at the same time utilizes the combined wisdom and imagination of the crowd. Our website is a way to tap into crowdsourcing in order to get that perfect name idea and to get an idea of how the crowds will respond to that name idea. The more people that like a name, the better the name.
When the client signs up, they will be directed to their own home page on our site. From the home page the client can add in their description of their business or product or whatever it is that they need a clever, unique, memorable name for.
Once the client is satisfied with their description, the client saves the description.
From the client's home page, the client can choose to go ahead and publish it to the main unnamed businesses and products page so that the namers will be able to view it and it's description and details and they can start to add in name candidates.
The client can also edit their description at any time to make any neccessary updates, adjustments, etc.
After about a day (often within minutes), on the client's home page, name candidates for the business/product will start to appear and be listed. We have a voting system in place for the name candidates and the ratings and vote count for each name candidate will be displayed for the client to view the results.
This way the client will have some insight as to which of the name candidates is really standing out. This is an invaluable tool towards helping the client with making a well informed decision about why and which name candidate the client should choose from.
Once the client has made a decision and has chosen one of the name candidates to be the client's business or product name, the client can pick it and the name will then be theirs.
The reason our system works so well is because we have many namers from all over the world (which effectively increases the imagination and creativity) giving the clients ingenious name ideas. The namers make more money by coming up with Winning Name Ideas and by how many votes they have made, so the namers have great incentive towards coming up with a great name for your business or product. The namers rate the name ideas on a scale of 1 - 10, so if one or more of the name ideas are rated as 10 and continually stay at a rate 10, the client knows that there are a lot of people that are liking that name idea. This really helps the client to have the best idea of which name to choose from. The name ideas that are rated 10 always appear at the top of the list, however ultimately, the client may choose any name idea that he/she wishes and at anytime.
